Oronja

Wikipedia

The cap of Amanita caesarea mushroom is 8 to 20 cm in diameter, orange, bright orange or very bright orange in color, with a smooth, detachable cuticle. In young specimens, the cap is hemispherical and flattens as the sporocarp develops. The laminae are golden yellow, and the stem is of the same color, cylindrical, with a yellow ring in the upper third, and usually measures between 8 and 15 cm high and 2 to 3 cm in diameter. The volva is large, white and membranous. When it begins to grow it has the appearance of the inside of a hen’s egg, with the volva resembling the white or whitish white and the emerging pileus of the fungus resembling the yellow yolk.
It is important to distinguish it from the «false oronja» (Amanita muscaria),[1] with a reddish or scarlet cap, slightly concave, almost hemispherical in young specimens and more flattened in mature specimens, which is toxic and has psychoactive properties. The unmistakable characteristic between the two is that both the foot and the laminae of caesarea are of an intense cream color while in muscaria they are always white.

This swallowing also allows a greater enjoyment of the flavor and appreciation of its natural aroma. The oronja should not be chewed without having previously brushed the teeth with toothpaste, in order to avoid
